Mark Vanek of Marin Bikes goes over the all new 2009 Stelvio in detail with us. It's the next generation of carbon bike from Marin Bikes, a major change from their previous CX7. The new Stelvio features a full monocoque frame structure including a box section bottom bracket for increased stiffness. New profile chain stays add to rider pedal input, resulting in a more active feeling bike. Seat stays are a little different from the previous Marin models as well, they've gone with a split seat stay design, which allowed Marin to fine tune the frame to improve ride quality. The bike is still in development with regional riders as well as a few European riders testing the bike, with a few expected tweaks before final production begins, it won't be long before you can check one out at your local shop.

This year Rival will be all new, from the finish of some of the component pieces, to materials, to some actual new technology.

Rival goes from aluminum to a carbon blade, the shape is more similar to SRAM’s Red offering. The cable routing goes from one cable routing option, this year, there is two (both external and internal routing). The reach adjust features of Red has now trickled down to Rival as well.

Zero loss has also made it down to Rival. Which offers a much more shorter throw, that should result in a faster more positive engagement.
