News

From the Roaring Mouse Team Website:

Our team mate and friend Matt Peterson was struck and killed by a car while on a training ride in Cupertino on Sunday, March 9th, 2008. The team, along with the rest of the cycling community, his family, and those who knew him are devastated and shocked by this unexplainable loss.

The Roaring Mouse Cycles team gathered Sunday night to share memories and express grief over the loss of a close friend. Matt’s friends, family, and team would appreciate any kind words you may have. Please feel free to express your condolences at Remember Matt. Further information will be available on that website.

Kristy Gough, Third Pillar cyclist and friend to many Roaring Mouse Cycles team members, was just behind Matt when the crash occurred and eventually succumbed to her injuries after being treated at the hospital. Our thoughts go out to her friends, family, and team.
