
Second-year team prepares for the new season
DENVER – Primal/MapMyRide powered by BH Bikes announced their roster for the 2012 season.
This will be the second season for the eight-member team based in Denver, Colorado. The Primal/MapMyRIDE powered by BH Bikes Professional Women’s Team made its presence known during its inaugural season, notching high-profile results across the country and providing a leading voice both in the peloton and as ambassadors for women’s cycling.
“Anytime you’re starting something new, there’s a certain apprehension that comes with it. But this team has truly been one-in-a-million with amazing athletes and personalities that left an immediate impression on the women’s racing world,” said Team Manager Susannah Gordon. “Our team earned respect from their fellow riders as well as race organizers and staff everywhere we went because of their hard work, talent and attitude.”
The team will hold its training camp in San Diego, California where they will prepare for their sophomore season of racing.
“Primal is heavily involved in racing at all levels, but this team and these women were incredible during their first year,” said Primal Founder and CEO Dave Edwards. “We couldn’t have asked to be associated with a better group of riders. These athletes inspired and impressed last season and Primal is looking forward to a bright future with this team.”
