Tulsa Tough and Air Force Classic

As the summer racing season hits full stride, the Jamis/Sutter Home Professional Cycling Team will again be dividing their forces and competing at two separate events this coming weekend. With multiple victories and podium appearances in previous weeks, the team has momentum in their favor and is looking to continue its hot streak.
Beginning Friday night, and continuing the following two nights, in Oklahoma is the Saint Francis Tulsa Tough. With three high-speed criteriums all featuring technical courses and significant payout, racing is sure to be fast and aggressive from start to finish in each. Filling the Jamis/Sutter Home squad for the race are five of the strongest and tactically savvy riders in the domestic peloton. Fernando Antogna has been sprinting incredibly well thus far, and will be bolstered by the presence of fast finishers Alejandro Borrajo and Kyle Wamsley. Guido Palma and Tyler Wren round out the squad and will be looking to support their teammates while taking advantage of any breakaway opportunities.
Also taking place this weekend in the nation’s capital is the Air Force Cycling Classic with two criteriums over two days. At a full 100 kilometers, Saturday’s Clarendon Cup is widely regarded as one of the most intense races of the year and Sunday’s Crystal Cup is more similar than not. Fresh off his victory at last weekend’s Glencoe Grand Prix, Jackie Simes will lead the team along with sprinter Demis Aleman. Perennial aggressors Jamey Driscoll, Peter Van Dijk and Phillp Mooney will also be on hand to help keep things under control and capitalize on promising breaks.
