Teammates Leonardo Piepoli and Juan Jose Cobo take 1st and 2nd!

Saunier Duval teammates Leonardo Piepoli and Juan Jose Cobo finished stage 10 first and second giving the team their third stage win at this years tour. On a short but very challenging mountainous stage that finished with two Hors Catagorie climbs, tour favorite Cadel Evans took over the race leaders jersey with an 8th place finish. Leading the catogory by just one second over Frank Schleck who came in 4th on the day.

Jersey changes – Cadel in yellow, Riccardo Ricco in polka dots and white.

Evans takes yellow as Piepoli wins Tour’s 10th stage

HAUTACAM, France (AFP) — Title favourite Cadel Evans of Australia finally took possession of the Tour de France yellow jersey here Monday after a thrilling end to the 10th stage.

(CNN) — Saunier Duval’s Leonard Piepoli won the 10th stage of the Tour de France as Australia’s Cadel Evans took over the race leader’s yellow jersey in a dramatic finale on the cruel slopes of the Hautacam on Monday.

Cadel Evans today became the first Australian rider since Robbie McEwen in 2004 to wear the yellow jersey of the Tour de France, taking over from Kim Kirchen on the tough mountain stage to Hautacam.
