ironguides Names Kestrel Official Bike

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Kestrel Bicycles has been named the official bike of ironguides coaching, a worldwide company dedicated to serving endurance athletes of all skill levels. The partnership provides ironguides’ clients the opportunity to train and race on Kestrel bicycles - one of the most preeminent triathlon bike brands in the world. ironguides coaches will work with their athletes to fit them with the Kestrel model that’s best for them.

“While Kestrel isn’t the only bicycle we work with, it is the one we recommend to our athletes. Kestrel’s philosophy of delivering the best quality product meshes with ironguides’ philosophy to deliver superior coaching, training services and information to our athletes,” said ironguides coach Kristian Manietta. “I have been on the new Kestrel Airfoil Pro SE since January 2009 and it’s the most aero, responsive, comfortable and fastest time trial bike I have ever ridden. We can’t wait until the unveiling of the new TT machine from Kestrel.”

Rock Racing to Ride Kestrel Bicycles in 2009

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Kestrel Bicycles is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the Rock Racing Professional Cycling Team.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with one of the most exciting teams in pro cycling,” said Karen Bliss, Director of Marketing at Advanced Sports, Inc., the parent company for Kestrel. “We have built great relationships with many of Rock Racing’s riders through our other brands’ sponsorships, and I’m happy they will get the opportunity to race on our bikes in 2009.”

The team will ride Kestrel’s new RT900, a 950 gram carbon frameset that features a unique aero-shaped monocoque frame design and its proprietary EMS Pro fork. The team will also be supported by Shimano with Dura-Ace components.

Current U.S. Pro Road Champion Tyler Hamilton, who tested the Kestrel road bike the team will be riding, said, “The road bike handles perfectly - it’s got an incredible strength to weight ratio. I’m really impressed.”

Dede Griesbauer to Join Kestrel Athletes

PHILADELPHIA - Kestrel Bicycles is pleased to announce its sponsorship of professional triathlete, Dede Griesbauer. Griesbauer enters her 5th year as a professional triathlete.

Placing 10th at the Ironman ™ World Championships in October, her second top-ten placement in as many years, Griesbauer has already earned her spot at the race for 2009. Winning Ironman™ UK in 2006 and placing as runner-up at Ironman™ Brazil in 2007 also add to her list of esteemed accomplishments.

“I’m really pleased to be affiliated with Kestrel,” said Dede Greisbauer. “I had a chance to test the bike [Airfoil Pro SE] and it made the choice an easy one - I love it.”

Kestrel announces partnership with INVISCIDDESIGN.COM

Kestrel is pleased to announce its partnership with Inviscid Design, Inc., creator of the SpeedfilTMHydration System. The partnership will provide consumers the opportunity to purchase custom Speedfil bottles to match the 2009 Kestrel Airfoil Pro SL Special Edition and Airfoil Pro SL.

The partnership was first introduced at Interbike and officially launched at Ironman® World Championships; both events showed industry excitement for the unique hydration product. The custom Speedfil bottles will be sold exclusively at participating Kestrel dealers.
