Myles Romanow, promoter of the Whitmore’s Landscaping Super Cross Cup, rounds 8 and 9 of the MAC Powered by SRAM Cyclocross series, is proud to announce that one lucky entrant to his races in the Hamptons of Long Island will receive an otherwise unobtainable, made-to-measure Richard Sachs Cyclocross Team bicycle completely outfitted with SRAM Parts and Mavic Wheels.
Every non-UCI entry at the Whitmore’s Landscaping Super Cross Cup on November 22 and 23 will receive one FREE raffle ticket toward the raffle for the Richard Sachs Cyclocross bike. Riders who enter two races at Whitmore’s get two free raffle tickets. If a rider enters four races in The Hamptons, they will get four free raffle tickets.
Richard Sachs currently has a seven-year backlog for his Signature road frames, and is not currently taking orders from new clients. But this bike, which will be made to measure specifically for the winner of the contest, will be built along with next year’s RGM Watches - Richard Sachs - Boathouse Inc pro team bikes.
Once each year, Richard blocks out a 10-14 day work period and builds all the RS ‘Cross team frames en masse. The winner of the raffle will be receiving a team-issue race bike, with the same color and specifications as the pro team’s bikes, that will be delivered early next September in time for the start of the 2009 Cyclocross Season.
To enter the raffle, simply register for the Whitmore’s Landscaping Super Cross Cup at BikeReg.com, the official on-line pre-registration service of the MAC Powered by SRAM Cyclocross Series.
The Whitmore’s Landscaping Super Cross Cup races on November 22 and 23 are Rounds 8 and 9 of the “MAC Powered by SRAM Cyclocross Series” and the Finals for the new NACT.

Anyone know if you have to be present to win?

Hello guys. Since the frame isn’t going to be completed until August of 2009, it would be somewhat poor form to require the potential winner to be there in person.. That being said, if the lure of one of Americas nicest neighborhoods, location of blingest parties, great beaches, and the finals of the NACT, AND a free Richard Sachs isn’t enough to get you there… well … yeah..
While I’ve got everyone’s attention… we just want to re-iterate that this prize is for the winner.. Winner. Not his girlfriend mom best friend uncle dog’s baby sitter cousin. Made to measure for the winner period. Sachs will be on hand to meet and greet the winner personally, and take the measurements from a bike, person, etc. If the winner is a non-attendant, I’m fairly certain we could arrange a trip to Sachs lair in CT to have it all done. Truly, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. He has a SEVEN year waiting list for his product, appreciate the chance you are being given.
Also remember that entry into a race gets you a raffle ticket free. Race three times that weekend… three tickets. . What’s better than that?
