Intro
Strengths
- sub 900 gram frame
- excellent lateral stiffness translates to a great turning, great handling bike
- very stiff bottom bracket produces a great climbing and great accelerating bike
- frame paint scheme and aesthetics is beautiful
- FSA cranks with ceramic BB is a nice touch
Weaknesses
- 12-23 rear cassette is too tall for most and detracts from this bike's climbing ability
- Aluminum Easton handlebar is not up to par with bike. Hoods are a bit long
- ride is on the stiff side
Bottom line Wow! This bike blew away our expectations. Jamis succeded in delivering a standout carbon bike in a very crowded field. It differentiates itself with exceptional looks, great engineering and a ride quality that is aggressive and accurate. The best part is the Xenith is a fine line of bike where you can go up or down in the scale. You want a sub 13 lb bike? Get the Xenith SL. $2500 is your budget? Get the Xenith Comp. They all share the same the same frame design elements and benefit from the same technologies.
