Our R&D wizards have developed the means of milling carbon black filler material to an ultra-fine level effectively creating nano-technology for butyl rubber. By shrinking the individual carbon black particles to the comparative size of a soccer ball vs. the earth, we can now put more rubber on the ground with a more flexible, more compliant compound. This incredible formula delivers performance advances on the order of 30% increased adhesion, 26% lower rolling resistance and 5% improved mileage. In a nut-shell, Black Chili Compound rolls stickier – faster – longer!

The Grand Prix 4000s also features Vectran puncture protection, so at a scant 205 grams (700×23) is still completely reliable and delivers tubular-like performance to a race-ready clincher.
